Hand building with Clay workshop for 1, 2 or 3 people
*Now taking bookings for 2025 dates. Gift vouchers available for the perfect gift *
Join award winning ceramicist Katherine Lees for a fun guided clay workshop.
Make your own ceramics with me in my studio 5 at Manchester Craft & Design Centre, in the heart of Manchester's vibrant Northern Quarter, with a small group of your friends or family,
I will show you how to hand build your own clay creation in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
All materials, apron, and a piece of work for each person fired in my kiln to take home, are included. As well as delicious baked treats & hot or cold drinks!
Workshops can be tailored to your specific needs and the object you would like to make, including one of the following: mug, planter, two trinket dishes or animal sculpture.
The main aim is to relax while handling the clay and have fun as you learn to create something in your own unique style.
Workshops are available on Mondays, Wednesdays or Sundays. Please put the date you would like in the notes section of your order and what you would like to make.
The length of the workshop is approx 2.5 hours, choose between 10.30am-1pm or 2.30pm- 5pm and each person receives a fired piece of work (approx 5/6 weeks after the workshop, collection from studio 5.)
If you would like to give a workshop as a gift, please select this in the drop down menu of the gift vouchers option in my shop.
In this workshop you will also see behind the scenes of my shop studio space, where I make and fire all my work!
Please note the shop part of my studio is open to the public on the Monday and Wednesday workshops. Workshops are held behind the divide in the making part of the studio.
Sadly I am unable to offer refunds on tickets for workshops if you cannot attend. However if you notify me in advance of the workshop day, it may be possible to switch to another date. Thank you for your understanding.
Feel free to write me an email: [email protected] if you have any questions and to check date availability, thank you.
At this time the workshop is not wheelchair accessible. But alternative space could be arranged if required, please send me a message to find out more.
